Emmerdale's Robert Sugden may pull off a seemingly-impossible achievement next week - finally winning over troublesome teen Liv Flaherty.
Robert (Ryan Hawley) hasn't been Liv's biggest fan ever since they were first introduced in February, so he was far from pleased when his boyfriend Aaron decided to take on the responsibility of his rebellious sister.

Fortunately, the ice between the pair starts to melt next week when Liv (Isobel Steele) defies orders to stay away from her evil father Gordon's sentencing for child sex abuse.
When Liv skips school in order to be present in court, it's Robert who steps in to track her down.

Surprisingly, it doesn't spark another row between the pair and Robert fully understands when Liv tells him that she needs to see Gordon get sent down.

Robert suggests that Liv should explain her reasoning to Aaron and there's a sudden thawing between them when he helps to get the siblings on the same page.
Danny Miller, who plays Aaron, explained: "Liv is determined to go to Gordon's sentencing. She wants to see his face and make sure that it's definite, it's final and he really is going to prison.

"Liv also wants to look Gordon in the eye and tell him what she thinks of him. She hates him and wants to give back that last little bit of hold that he has over her, which is the necklace.
"Liv also wants to make sure that Gordon is suffering for what he did to Aaron, because that's her big brother and she wants justice for him."

Miller continued: "Aaron is angry when he finds out that Liv has ignored him and gone to the sentencing, but again it shows that his genes are in Liv. Aaron would have always just done it regardless of what people said, so when she does the same, Aaron can see that she's very much like him.
"Aaron wants to be there for Liv, as opposed to being nasty towards her for not telling him the truth."

Liv is grateful to Robert for his help, and they later find even more common ground when Aaron's family gather together to celebrate him officially becoming a Dingle.
Liv and Robert are left feeling awkward as they're both excluded from the family celebrations, so will this strengthen their bond? Or could the arrival of DS Wise with some shocking news make them enemies again?

Chrissie White's ongoing mission to prove whether Lawrence is her biological father reached a heartbreaking conclusion in Emmerdale last night as her worst fears were confirmed.
Chrissie (Louise Marwood) was left doubting her true paternity earlier this year after Lawrence opened up over his complicated past.

Lawrence had an open relationship with Chrissie's mother - much like he now has with Bernice - leaving Chrissie to ponder if he was the man who actually fathered her.

Chrissie has been determined to get answers ever since and has even been pursuing a DNA test. However, after chasing him for a sample, Lawrence was forced to come clean and confess that she didn't need one as he already knew the truth.

Lawrence then explained to a devastated Chrissie that it was impossible for him to be her biological father and he has always known he wasn't, but insisted that he loved her like his own regardless.

The bombshell will undoubtedly leave Chrissie with more mountains to climb, but where does it leave her relationship with Lawrence?
